A fairy-tale for managers presented by Angus Whitton Fife Business Directory >>
Doing Business in the UK
Intro: Doing Business with the Germans... - Here is my take on Germans based on my limited experience:

Germans are known for their clinical efficiency. They plan their business to the last detail and although they can be very humorous they dislike vulgar jokes. So if you are submitting a business proposal make sure that every last detail has been thought and be careful when telling a joke.

A long time ago they realised that they would never be able to compete with cheap imports and bearing this in mind, they have gone for the luxury end of the market producing top quality machines and vehicles and charging a heavy premium. Their motto is "you get what you pay for."

They tend to be taller than the average British person and in my limited experience tend not to mix business with pleasure as much as the British.
