Crisis Intervention: Blackmail and Denunciation Calls from a (Smart ?) German Speaking Lady . . .
Weblogging some say is revolution in journalism. I signed up a weblog providing social business network first on 13-Oct-05. Fasten seat belts ! . . . next stop: Podcast !

10 Feb 2006

. . . who wants insider marketing information same time. That's what I call highly intelligent and clever. What do you think ?

Dear ecademists, hi, Iain (please accept my apology for starting a new blog with this)

You wrote with reference to this blog here . . . Entrepreneur - dunno about that, I'll let you know when I'm done.

I say: Well, let's have a chat over a beer whenever you're around and your pipeline feeds German economy. My treat (for the records: 2 beers, one you, one me . . . ).

You wrote:
Preplanning helps, but isn't always possible.

I say: There's big crises or scandals or desasters and smaller ones. Let me tell you a story that just happened yesterday.

11:23 p.m CET+1 I received a phone call from a German speaking lady who approached very personal asking me what's a certain blog activity on a network related with riddles was all about. I asked her 'who am I speaking with ?'. Without further notice she informed me she had made screenshots about some of my activities in question to inform the 'copyright-owner' about my presumably unlawful activities and so and asked me 'why are you doin' this, do you want to make business with Englishmen ?'. I hang up.

00:10 a.m. CET+1 today, me still in a Stratagem meeting, she called again. I hang up after 6 seconds.

Possible explanation for what happened:
1st: She wanted insider information about my marketing strategies which seem to work and are obviously new to her.
2nd: She wants to damage the outstanding and excellent reputation of my company same time.

Does that sound clever to you ? What about the ethics of such a behaviour ?

The issue: Copyright. This is a very, very sensitive issue and I've realized that some ecademists are embedding pictures whereabout I'm not always sure they have permission of the owner (copyright must not necessary be with the website-owner where the pics are taken from who might be happy with additional advertising but the photographer with 3rd rights related !).

Unlawful acting with copyright issues might damage or even kill your business. That's right. . . . *schmunzelgrins* . . .

Since I am quite aware (Crisis prevention) of copyright and using information with or without knowing or informing the relevant persons it always puts a smile on my face, knowing, that others watching me will cause dramatic increase of traffic activities on my website. . . . *schmunzelgrins* . . .

The business factor of this blog: Conflict marketing may result in dramatic increase of economical growth !

Scandal: All these actions resulted in triple number of visitors of my website last night ! That's what I call marketing. It's called conflict marketing. Some call it carrot marketing if they have the vision of a female donkey (dullard) following the carrot you're offering . . . *zitterbibber* . . .

Crisis prevention status in Germany: Non existent. Germany lives in a state where Dr. Shlomo Shpiro (Expert for terrorism an communication at the Bar-Ilan University, Israel) said on last m2medienmittwochs event, 'terrorism happens everywhere except Germany'.

It's been said in a blog recently that in Germany you don't need signals for not putting your feet on to the green for Germans are said to anticipate obedience and are unlikely acting before it is not permitted formally. Obviously this supported a climate of watching each other to check, what is he/she doing. Is this according to law ? If there's no signal that allows expressly this might be unlawful. Might be. Sure it is. I (donkey) don't understand. So . . .

BEAT HIM ! SLASH !

This is, how the lady acted.

I'll keep you informed and if I succeed in proven evidence she's going to be blamed in public on my Scandal section for sure except she asks for apology including all the trimmings. At least for interrupting my Stratagem meeting . . .

Same time she was clever enough to ask details about my marketing strategy . . . that's the carrot part . . .

Ecademist Tony Hine wrote earlier:

Tweaks have the most remarkable affect on your business. If you have an area of your business and is below par, and you focus all your attention on it, you improve it no end, it becomes the best, most efficient part of your business. Anyone can look of your business and say look what they've done and they can copy you. They can see the benefit of what you did. Your competitors can immediately duplicate your success.

Now let's say you take a different approach, you don't single out one area of your business for attention, but you spread your attention over your whole business. You make 1% improvements (tweaks) in many different areas.
You have a goal of making ten 1% improvements a Month. After ten months you have 100% improvement in your company. Your company flies along, generating revenue. Your competitor has not got a clue! He doesn't know what you did, it's not evident.
This gives you a distinct advantage over your competitors and it is far easier to implement 1% improvements over several areas than it is to implement 100% improvement over one area.

I say: I don't have competitors. From time to time I deal with some sort of tyke tryin' to bite me. Trying. Not succeeding. Not smart enough. Their air-biting-around-attempts will strike back with the same bad energy their approach was intended.

Any thoughts ? Fire !

Have a nice day, be a braveheart and be prepared !
